Archaeological Digs

Part 2: 2009 - Preparatory dig

Following the disappointments of 2005 a new dig was planned for 2009. We decided to carry out a full survey this time followed by the dig in June 2009. 'Awards for All' provided a grant of £10,000 to cover the cost of Geophysical Ground Penetrating Radar Survey and subsequent dig.

We now have a full report from LTU Ltd which shows at least six features which are worth investigating in June 2009. After the dig a report will be made by the Archaeologist giving full details of all findings.
